Brief resume:

Naked female bodies are washed ashore on a beach in southern Sweden. Suspicion is cast upon an ex UN-soldier, who has been accused of rape and murder during his service in peace keeping missions in Bosnia. A detective superintendent is determined to get him convicted, whatever it takes.

The ex UN-soldier tracks down a lead of his own, at a Copenhagen piercing club where customers can buy and take advantage of women aboard a ship. He infiltrates the club with assistance from a Swedish woman, collecting evidence that the murders have taken place on the ship. During his investigations he walks into a trap, is forced to eliminate his attackers and placed in custody by the Danish police.

A network of wrongfully, they claim, accused soldiers assists him in unveiling the club on the ship. In spite of all his efforts to prove his innocence, the superintendent continues to pursue him. The former soldier sees only one solution, he faces the man, and disposes of the immediate threat.

Synopsis:
The story starts off in the city of Malmoe in southern Sweden. Goran, a former UN-soldier has been dismissed from duty, charged with violent deeds (rape, murder) during a peace keeping mission in the Balkan conflict. He´s making ends meet as a bouncer at an illegal night club, living in a loft with a muscular black mastiff, composing music on his computer. He receives a small pension from his recently deceased mother (who hasn’t been officially declared dead).

One evening a brown envelope is slipped under his door. It contains black and white pictures of a naked, dead woman, washed ashore at a beach. He identifies the setting, a pier close to a yacht harbour. A plain clothes policeman, a detective superintendent, watches him as he goes there, and takes pictures.

Milan, the owner of the illegal nightclub, instructs Goran to do him a personal favour; look into the disappearance of a daughter of one of his countrymen.

Goran establishes contact with a network of "wrongfully accused European ex soldiers" in Copenhagen. The superintendent questions him about the dead woman on the beach. It becomes clear to Goran that he is regarded as the prime suspect. Even thought he was never proven guilty, the records from the UN mission is held against him.

The female victim had her nipples pierced and when a second woman is found - and Goran receives another envelope with b/w photographs - he discovers a connection. A blonde young woman, Anna, a piercing artist, recognizes the ring in the nipple, the mark of a famous master of the trade.

He tracks down the missing daughter in Copenhagen, finds her picture on a CD-ROM together with those of the murdered women. The disc is a catalogue listing women who for the right - substantial - sum takes part in piercing sex acts.

At the illegal night club in Malmoe Goran discovers that one of the co-owners of the club is the superintendent, who demands to investigate Gorans home, finds the b/w photographs, and threatens to frame him for the murders. Goran now faces the task of proving his innocence.

Goran hides in Copenhagen; he must expose the real killers before he can return. A Danish photographer has images of men buying services from the club, situated on a cruising ship that sails the water between Sweden and Denmark. The club is concealed under deck, a dark and obscure location.

When Goran shows up at a meeting with the photographer, he steps right into a setup. The photographer is brutally murdered, bur Goran survives thanks to his military training. He teams up with Anna who enlists at the club.
In the meantime, the Swedish police has put Goran’s actions under constant surveillance.
He manages to track down the missing daughter to a suburban estate in Copenhagen, liberates her from her - as she claims - voluntary duties.

He invests the monetary reward at the covert club, demands to have the blonde Anna as his "victim". The piercing act takes place on a dark night aboard the cruising ship, Goran is almost forced to fulfill the act before the network is able to go to action. The club owner, and master piercing doctor, finds himself trapped in his own gadgets. The ship is boarded by coast guard and police, under heavy fire the network men manage to withdraw.

Back at his loft, Goran and Anna are making plans. He has proven his innocence, but the old accusations are still clouding their future.
The network presents Goran with a lead to the real criminals of war. He prepares to disappear into the dark European continent to hunt them down.

Back at his flat, Anna is waiting for him. They celebrate, but later that night Goran has a bad Bosnia flashback. Anna begs him to tell her everything…
